Journal 11 – Mark Manders

Mark Manders was Born 1968, at Volkel, the Netherlands.

He then Lives and works in Arnhem, the Netherlands and Ronse, Belgium

Mark’s art work all seems like having real materials combine together and creates some special vision.

For example, in this picture, Marke use bunch of chairs and some bars and a pipe, creates the vision of a factory.

In this one, Mark gave me an feeling of a racing court, even though it is created by a lamp and some wire, but the overall structure seems like a racing court.

This peice is different from two above. But there are still some similarities, like the “line” structures. Even it is a drawing, Mark is still using the line technique to do this art work. It seems like the horse is pretty powerful due to the giant foot.

In this peice, on the top of drawing seems like scratching off the board and creates the complicated image, and at the bottom, it seems like it is “dripping” like how people drawing wet painting and using too much water and dripping down.

This peice totally express the “dripping ” technique, using dripping technique to develope the visoin of miserable.

In this last peice, I can’t really tell where the dripping techinque is, but at the bottom, there are some scratching like the U shape. And she is still painting like using too much water, making the picture looks wet
